How to Make a Doll Bunk Bed with Cardboard & Paper Mache

Hey everyone, I made this awhile ago, but I don't think I ever posted it.

Materials Needed:
cardboard
paper mache mix
paint
fabric
sponges

cut 4 pieces of cardboard 3" x 11"
this will be your headboard and footboard
glue 2 pieces together to make it stronger

cut 4 pieces of cardboard 3" x 9"
this will be your mattress base
at 9" the dolls can only lie in bed when legs bent, if you want
to lie them flat at another 2" so cut 3" x 9" pieces
glue 2 pieces together to make it stronger

on my bunk beds I wanted to add a rectangular hole on the footboard
and headboard, make them any size you want, but before cutting
decide where your mattress bases are going to be glued...and just
cut underneath one and above the other like picture below

 time to paper mache
you can skip this step and cover it with paper or paint

now its ready to paint

glue sponges together to make one long one
cover with fabric
its up to you if you want to glue mattress to base

the ladder
use coffee stir sticks
cut 2 long ones same size
lay them side by side and cut smaller pieces for steps

glue steps onto ladder than paint it

easy peasy :)

How to Make Doll Beds

Hey everyone, check out our new tutorial video on  how to make easy doll beds...one thing I forgot to mention in the video is the base is 3" x 9"...the dolls will lie down with their legs bent, if you want them to
lie flat make it 3" x 11". I made mine smaller so they fit in the rooms better.

If we have inspired you to make these beds, please send us your pictures, we would love to see and share them. Thank you so much for watching our videos, we appreciate your time :)

It's free and each blog offers something different, but what they do have in common is that's they're all about dolls, dollhouses, and furniture. Thank you :)

before...I bought this from Value Village for only 99 cents...you can also find these at dollar stores.

I painted it first with silver craft paint...I love silver and black so I use those colours a lot.

I painted the top and sides black, I used a ruler to mark my lines, then just painted it.

Then I painted the front of the dresser with a giraffe print.

The boys dresser.

before...also purchased this at Value Village for only 99 cents.

I painted it silver as well then for the sides I used scrap paper. I liked the dresser I painted above so I did the same with this one, I love how it looks in the boys dorm room.

Thank you for stopping by.

Park Bench After Pics

Hey everyone, I hope you're all enjoying your Sunday. I finished the park bench from Friday's post. Here are the before and after pictures. I didn't want to do too much to the chair because I love how natural it is, so I just added a few plants and flowers.

I got the bench from Value Village for only 99 cents.
