How to Make Doll Beds

Hey everyone, check out our new tutorial video on  how to make easy doll beds...one thing I forgot to mention in the video is the base is 3" x 9"...the dolls will lie down with their legs bent, if you want them to
lie flat make it 3" x 11". I made mine smaller so they fit in the rooms better.

If we have inspired you to make these beds, please send us your pictures, we would love to see and share them. Thank you so much for watching our videos, we appreciate your time :)

Draculaura's New Dress

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Today I am going to post a little bit about fashion, little meaning doll dress. I transformed Frankie's old dress into something new for Draculaura. It was very simple.
I took some before pictures but after transferring them into my computer, I haven't been able to locate them in my files, I have no idea where I saved them, I thought my files were organized but it turns out they are not. So I grabbed a picture off the internet for the before shot.

I removed the tie and the belt and added some bling.

School House Tour - The Lounge

Hey everyone, I hope you're all having fun on your March break. Here is another tour of one of the rooms inside Skull Academy. This is one of my favourite rooms.

The Lounge (before)

Here are pictures of the cardboard state of the school house, I wish I took more pictures but these are the only ones I got until I started decorating it. This was suppose to be a living room at first until we decided to make it a school house instead of a dollhouse.

When I made this school house, we always thought about making movies, but here and there, we never thought Skull Academy would come this far with almost 70 episodes done already, it has become more like a soap opera. We are so grateful to all our viewers who watch, rate, share and comment on our videos.

So if I was making the house now, knowing about the Skull Academy show, I would have made a few changes to the school house. One change that I could change without causing a whole lot of mess is removing this paper towel pole, lets call it the pillar. It got in the way of a lot of the scenes we were filming for the show. So I removed it from the lounge and the classroom. It made a big gap in the floor, so I paper mached and painted it again to fix it, and you can't even notice something was there.

I crossed my fingers the whole house wouldn't fall a part...just kidding, I made sure I tested it before removing the pillars. And it looks so much better. If you're making this and are using two boxes on top of each other instead of strips of cardboard then don't worry about adding the pillar.

                                       (after)

So a few things changed in this room, I continued with the wallpaper and stripes on both side walls, new rug, plus new legs on the coffee table. I also added a little skeleton head on a piece of  wood and glued it to the wall. Can you see the outside background. That was the background I made for the show scenes, and it works great as a background to the schoolhouse, plus its the parking lot and park...who know's maybe a few of the characters will go camping too.

The vase was a spray bottle lid, I wrapped scrap paper around it and a black piece of pipe cleaner around the rim. The coffee table is a piece of cardboard and I added craft sticks all around it, painted it silver and added clothes pins I took apart as legs for the table, a lot more sturdy.

The couch was made with sponges, cardboard and the material you see covering it. The cushion is a flower. I wanted to soften up the room. The lighting is a pine cone I painted white. I love how it looks.

Thank you for stopping by...the next rooms on our tour will be the new dorms. The rooms are fairly new but have already gone through a lot of changes.

Please don't forget to subscribe to our blog or become a member above. Oh yah one more thing :) please vote for our site for top 100 doll sites and keep us in the top 10...we're not greedy, we don't need to be number 1...being in the top 10 is pretty cool with us....Thank you :)

We will have a video up soon about information of our new giveaway. I'll give you a hint, your dolls will probably gain some weight if  you win ? Can you guess what I'm talking about :)

The Classroom at Skull Academy

Hey everyone, below is the tour of the classroom inside Skull Academy.

As you can see, this room was going to be the kitchen, but then we decided to turn the dollhouse into a school house. Its taken awhile to complete this room but it is now finally finished.

The finished Classroom

I added the teachers desk and chair, and a new set of shelves under the white board.

Plus I added the school name to the classroom.

I love how the classroom looks now.

Thank you for stopping by, the next room will be the school lounge.

Please don't forget to vote for us for top 100 doll sites before you leave.
Thank you so much to all of you who have been voting and leaving comments. We are so grateful.

Monster High School House Dorm Room 3 & Bathroom

Oops almost forgot about my school house room tour posts...I got side tracked with the new episode of Skull Academy and the doll food I made.

Here are pictures of Deuce's and Jacksons dorm room. The room is small so there wasn't much room for anything, just the beds. I should have used a thinner piece of styrofoam but this is all I had. I could have used cardboard but after all that cutting, I just didn't feel like doing anymore cuts. I had this piece of styrofoam, I just had to add some filler at the top and it works.

Here is the finished room. Very simple, the headboards are leather, I wrapped a piece of leather around some cardboard, the bed itself is made with cardboard and sponges, I keep saying I'm going to do a video tutorial because so many of our viewers have asked...but then things get busy and I forget until I write a post about it. I will get to it one day...soon...it's on my 'to do' list...

The corkboard was made from a cork coaster I got from the dollar store, I painted it silver.
I'm all about black, white and silver. The lamp was made with beads, hard stock and some chain.

The night table is a square building block, and a clothes hanger clip I took a part. The curtains are from Lola's old halloween costume. The bedspreads are crocheted by my mom, Lola's grandma.

I made the chandeliers with wire and beads.

The bathroom, the heart of this room is the tub, it was a great find from the thrift store and best of all it was free! There is a leg missing. The toilet is a piece of styroam I shaped then paper mached it with the toilet seat and cover...on the right of the toilet is the toilet paper roll. The sink the sink is a shot glass, I got a piece of styrofoam, carved out a whole for the glass, then paper mached the vanity. The curtains are material from an old umbrella, ok maybe the umbrella wasn't old, but I liked the material.

The bottom half of the wall are invitation cards I found at the dollar store, I cut them and glued them to the wall. The art is also found at the thrift store. I would love to replace the picture with art send in by you our viewers. So send us a scan of your art work preferably paintings with a lot of colour...and we will display your art in our school. You can see your art hanging on our walls while watching our show.

Ok, so thats another two rooms down. Thank you for stopping by. Please vote for our blog for top 100 doll sites. Thank you so much to those of you who have and who also leave comments. You guys are awesome!
