monster high dorm room part 6 the vanity

This post will be the tutorial for the vanity...you can also check out the video version on our YouTube channel... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXuhDyySntE

Materials Needed...Cardboard, paper mache, paint, beads, mirror...

If you don't have a mirror like this one, this was an awesome garage sale find...both for $1.
Find a plain mirror and bling it up with beads and gems.

Don't forget the perfume bottles, just glue a big bead with a smaller bead.

And now the seat cushion, just glue a piece of fabric to some cardboard and glue it to seat.

My niece just bought another doll and she has no place to sleep...you know what that means, another dorm room. I am in the middle of paper mache the box and hopefully will start painting and wallpapering this weekend. Will post when I get some progress done.

Thank you for visiting...please subscribe and share...thank you!

monster high dorm room part 5 chandelier

The dorm room is almost finished, now for the chandeliers, they don't work but they look pretty.

Materials needed: styrofoam ball, chain, wire, beads and card stock.

Cut the styrofoam ball in half...

After your beads are on the wire, cut the cardstock or decorative paper, I used a notebook cover.
Wrap it around the styrofoam and glue it.

Now poke the wire with the beads through the styrofoam and then wrap the chain on the base of the chandelier. Voila finished...well not quite, I do want to add more bling to it, already planning a room makeover.

Thank you to my new friends for joining. Please join and subscribe so you don't miss the rest of the tutorials. Plus I will be making another dorm room, more students have arrived at Skull Academy and a new hangout for the ghouls. You will love it. Thank you :)
