More Jewellery Box Transformations.

Here is a couple more dollar store jewellery boxes transformations.

I keep forgetting to take pictures. The jewellery box below was natural and yes I covered up the carving on the top of the lid...I didn't want to but you can't even tell there is a carving there so why not. I covered a piece of sponge that I sized and glued it on top. Then I glued a chain around the box.

So these two jewellery boxes become seating and storage for the dorm rooms.

For this jewellery box, I added some wooden legs, added a seat, chain and some gems.

Boys Dorm Room Furniture

Hi everyone...welcome new subscribers, thank you so much for subscribing...you are all now entered in our big Monster High doll giveaway...and all future giveaways.

What do you think of the new dorm room? I have posted about the coffin bed and popsicle stick bunk bed, here is the before and after pics for the other furniture in the room.

the night table...

I got this little jewellery box from the dollar store, it's great as a night table for the dorm room.
I glued on some wooden feet...you can use beads as well, then stained it.

I love how it looks in the room and its perfect for storing little items.

the ottoman...

This is an old watch case, I had this and was very close to throwing it away, I was actually going to strip the material from it to use on something else like a chair seat, then I thought this would be perfect as an ottoman for the boys room. All I did was add some feet to it and voila, an ottoman...I might bling it up or add a chain later, but for now it looks good.

the dresser...

I got this jewellery box from Value Village.
Great to use as a dresser for the dolls.

I painted the front silver and glued some zebra print paper on top and the sides.

I forgot to take pictures before I glued on the little alien...:)

 Thank you for stopping by.

Night Tables Redone

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well. We are giving away our laptop tomorrow and will be contacting and posting the winners here and on our Skull Academy blog. We are working on another giveaway with more winners and more chances to win. Stay tuned :)

I made these night tables for the dorm rooms awhile ago and used clothes pins for the legs, I used the narrow point to glue it to the block but it was really flimsy so I had to come up with something else.

I found these great little plastic forks at a discount dollar store, I don't have many silver ones left. I went back to the store to buy more, but there was no stock...I hope they re-order, I haven't found anything better to use for legs and decorating. Crossing my fingers :)

I used the clothes pins again but this time I glued them on the side of the block instead of under it.
It should hold alot better, so far so good. I may have to use the clothes pins for the restaurant chairs, can't find anything better and easy. The clothespins are the perfect size and are already cut, I just need to take them apart and paint them.

Thank you so much for subscribing and joining my blog. Please vote for 'top 100 doll sites' above. Thank you so much for your votes, I think you can vote more than once, so please keep on voting, we don't win anything but it's fun. Thank you!

Have a great week!

How to Make a Doll Lamp & Night Table

Hi everyone, I want to welcome my new subscribers and friends, thank you so much for joining my blog.

I made a few changes at Skull Academy, did you spot them?

One is the night tables and lamps. Here is a quick tutorial on how to make it.

grap some beads you like...

I took apart an umbrella and got these pieces that are perfect for the lamp, and it fits through the beads...

I used building blocks and clothespin hangers as legs painted them black and silver. The legs are not that sturdy so I may have to cut the tip off and glue again. I have also added handles. Great thing about these clothespins is you could face them different ways to get different looks.

after...I added a handle to all tables

I will update pics in a few days, I have added handles. Plus take pics of the renovated rooms.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog, please leave comments, and don't forget to subscribe to any one of our three blogs to enter our big giveaway.

monster high dorm room part 6 the vanity

This post will be the tutorial for the vanity...you can also check out the video version on our YouTube channel... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXuhDyySntE

Materials Needed...Cardboard, paper mache, paint, beads, mirror...

If you don't have a mirror like this one, this was an awesome garage sale find...both for $1.
Find a plain mirror and bling it up with beads and gems.

Don't forget the perfume bottles, just glue a big bead with a smaller bead.

And now the seat cushion, just glue a piece of fabric to some cardboard and glue it to seat.

My niece just bought another doll and she has no place to sleep...you know what that means, another dorm room. I am in the middle of paper mache the box and hopefully will start painting and wallpapering this weekend. Will post when I get some progress done.

Thank you for visiting...please subscribe and share...thank you!
